404 N Marcus St, Wrightsville, GA 31096 $89,000 Sold for $82,000
OHU50K NOTES
C.1890 Queen Anne for sale.
First up is the Kent/Outler House, a Queen Anne Victorian built in November of 1890 for R.L. Kent by W.C. Chester. Kent was president of the Bank of Wrightsville. He had the home constructed with a hexagonal tower with stained glass. Stained glass also appears in the gable end as well as pierced ornamentation on both the gable and porch. Reverend and Mrs. Ernest Veal restored the house in the 1980s.
The adjacent McWhorter/Outler House, said to be the oldest home in Wrightsville was originally included in the sale, but that has now been sold separately. The Folk Victorian style home was partially destroyed by fire in 2000. The fixer upper boasts jig sawn saw tooth eaves and brackets atop porch posts, sidelights and a transom at the central entrance.

REALTOR COMMENTS
2 For the Price of 1. Historic home within walking distance to downtown Wrightsville. The hardwood floors begin in the front foyer and run throughout the home. Custom trim work, built in cabinets, and stained-glass windows are only a few of the features that make this place unique. Updates have been done to both the kitchen and the master bath.
