OHU50K first featured this church at in 2019 when it was listed at $49,900. It sold for $23,500 at the beginning of 2020. The old church sits on a bucolic quarter acre and boasts its original bell tower and bell. Low taxes and virtually no crime neighborhood. It appears the building started life as the meeting place of a Sunday School Class as was custom in the 1880s and ’90s. In 1897 the building, known as the Berville First United Methodist Church, was added to Detroit’s Armada charge. In 1955, it became part of the Riley Center Charge until the church closed in the 1970s. After closing, the build served as a meeting place for scouts, class reunions and senior citizen events. Many town residents still have fond memories of fellowship that the church provided.
