OHU50K NOTES

In 1920, this multi-family home was the single-family home of Charles W. Dyer (1853-1943) and his wife Alice E. Blake Dyer (1861-1950). They were married in 1895 and had two daughters, Helen and Lena. Sometime before 1930, the couple, whose daughters were out of the house at this point, converted the house to a multi-family home. They rented to a married couple, both teachers at the public school, at a rate of $20/per month. The house was $7,000 in 1930.
Note the stick style vergeboard, ornate brackets, and beautiful spindle work on the porch.
