House History
The home was originally built on a 26-acre lot purchased by John A. Foust from E.J. Lily in 1878. Foust was a local merchant who owned and operated a general store just below the Muse Bros. Store which still exists in Cameron. Mr. Foust’s store sadly burned down around 1885 and was razed. The Foust homestead subsequently was purchased by the Thomas family whose heirs have maintained it for over 100 years. As of 2017 the home housed an antique shop. In 2017, the property was on the market with 26 acres for $275,000.
