“Yesterday I was 4 days away from closing on this property and got a call from my realtor. There’s an issue with the title. It was given to a woman in the 1960s (who apparently has a hall named after her at the university) and at some point it was foreclosed on. I didn’t really get the full story, but if she has any heirs, they may have claim to this house. They have to put it in the paper and see if anyone comes forward, and it’s going to take at least 4 months. Not sure if I can wait that long, unfortunately.”
