Family History
From the 1930s until his death in 1937, this was the home of Alexander B. Hill, a salesman of custom shirts for Newell Shirt Company. He lived here with his wife, Lillian. During his retirement, Mr. Hill wrote short stories on his rich experiences as a traveling salesman for 50 years. He also was a musician, a piano player and composer who laid claim to writing the WWI march “No. 258.”
