History
Known for its dining car service, the North Coast Limited was a streamlined passenger train operated by the Northern Pacific Railway between Chicago and Seattle. Train service started in 1948, and the crew included a stewardess who also was a registered nurse. This particular railcar would be dated after 1954 when the two-toned green paint colors were used. Also, the post-1954 North Coast Limited features a domed roof. It ceased service in 1971, a day before Amtrak serviced the line’s destinations.

Wow. Very cool. A ton of work, but for the right person a labor of love. Not real knowledgeable about rail cars but, for the amount of work that looks like is needed this seems a high price.
