Solomon Lightcap (aka Leibgap) was born in 1718 in Krefield, Germany, and immigrated to Bucks County, Pennsylvania, as a young man. There, he married Catherine Hauswith. Together they had 10 children; three sons, Solomon Jr., Michael and Jacob; and seven daughters, Anna Marie, Elizabeth, Esther, Maria Elizabeth, Margaret, Magdelena and Catherine.

After the Revolutionary War, the Lightcap brothers took an oath of allegiance with each other, but settled in three different areas. The brothers had large families, so any number of descendant may have lived here before the Civil War.

If you like it primitive, this is an interesting property. Although it sits on almost an acre, you will also have to like close neighbors.
