OHU50K NOTES

Finally! I have been waiting for interior photos for months now, and finally they came through.

History

The architect of this Second Empire is unknown, but it may have been a design from an Amos Jackson Bicknell pattern book. Constructed on only the quarter acre it currently sits on, the home belonged to grist mill owner William Selover Jr. (1828-1920). The family photo below may be Mr. Selover with his second wife Eliza Harris, who, although 13 years her husband’s junior, died in 1898 at the age of 55.  The couple had one son, born in 1874. After Eliza’s death Selover sold the home and moved to Brooklyn.
