OHU50K NOTES

This home was built for O.C. Davis (b.1870) and his wife Grace Stretch Davis. The couple resided here with their young son, Joseph, and Grace’s mother. By 1916, Albert and Beatrice Deem owned the home and lived here with their daughter Aleen. Albert was an auditor for the M.K. & T. Railway Company before opening up his own tailoring business at 1907 Broadway in Parsons. Sadly, Albert died suddenly in the home at the age of 46. The home passed down to several owners before the Smith family purchased it sometime before 1983. Mrs. Jack Smith’s recipe for Harvest Bars made it into a 1983 edition of the Parsons Daily Sun.
