Under $75K Thursday – c.1880 Fixer Upper in Seneca Fall NY Under $60K ~ Sold

5 Barker St, Seneca Falls, NY, 13148       $59,900 Sold for $62,000

If, like me, you can’t resist a yellow fixer upper home with white trim, then this home calls your name. The kitchen paint job is rather startling, but the floor-to-ceiling cupboard is a keeper. The home is located in Seneca Falls, a historic town along a branch of the Erie Canal and the birthplace of women’s rights. Seneca Falls is also thought to have been the inspiration “Bedford Falls”, the fictional town in  Frank Capra’s classic film It’s a Wonderful Life.

Fixer upper back on the market! Only because the town will not allow it to be converted to a duplex. Spacious home with good bones ready for your own personal touch. High ceilings, French doors 2 bay windows. Exterior painted 2019. Water heater 2017. Ramp and deck- 2018. Newer electric panel box. Some bathroom updates. All appliances stay. Pleasant, deep backyard. First floor bathroom, bedroom and laundry. Walk to downtown, library, etc.

Love the area. Lived there in the early 90’s. Winters are beautiful, cold, and snowy. Summers are surrounded by the finger lakes. Amazing!
