OHU50K Notes
This beautiful southern home is located in Selma’s Old Town Historic District, 59 blocks of 19th century residential homes.
Family History
In the early 1900s, Robert J. Davidson, a manager of a grocery store, owned the home. He resided here with his sister Margaret Davidson, a bookkeeeper for the grocery store, his brother Alfred, nephew Charles, sister Fannie Noble, a saleslady at a dry goods store, and niece Clara Noble. All the residents were either single or widows/widowers.
Robert J. was one of eight children born to Captain Robert Davidson and his wife Clara. The captain came to Selma from Orange County, New York, in 1850 and, although he grew up in the North, he served in the Confederate Army during the US Civil War. He raised his large family in a beautiful home down the street from our featured home at 651 Church Street.

Dear Ann,
Me too! If I could only win the Lottery….. 😆 lol. It seems a shame to let these beautiful old homes continue to deteriorate. Wish I could save them all!

Such a grand old home, its just a little too soon for me to buy it.
Would be a real labor of love to restore to her former grandeur.
