Family History
Morrow
From 1920 to 1954, this was the home of Chester Arthur Morrow (1881-1970) and his wife, Margaret Delashmutt Morrow (1874-1946). The couple never had children but lived in the home with Margaret’s mother. Chester was the owner of an art store. The home was valued at $15,000 in 1930, quite a tidy sum back then.
After the death of Margaret in January of 1946, Chester, who preferred to be called by his middle name of Arthur, married Grace Petsinger six months later. The couple continued to live in the home until 1954, when they sold it to Stephen W. Pozgay. Mr. Morrow died in Oklahoma in 1970 in an automobile accident a year after his second wife passed away.
