If installing vinyl siding on an old house, there is a right and a wrong way to do it. This was not the right way. At least they left alone the imbricated shingles in the gable, but window definition has been lost, and the vertical fascia around the porch is not attractive. Exterior complaints aside, the interior woodwork is absolutely stunning for a house at this price point. I imagine myself sitting on the built-in bench under the beautiful staircase reading a book or catching the sun. Hardwood floors, French doors, original doors and trim, a built-in bowed and glass-front china cupboard are additional stunners. Then we have cast iron radiators, vintage bathtub, and a fabulous finished attic.
