Family History
At the turn of the century, the 800 block of North 6th Street could almost be called millionaire’s row. The most prominent of Quincy families, owned large, elaborate homes here. Number 815 was owned by James W. Fairman (1859-1906) and his wife Ella M. Fairman (1861-1938). They resided in the home with their children, Robert and Evelyn, and a servant. James was a commercial traveler of farm implements who also owned a hardware store.

This house is beautiful. I am looking for a nice, affordable house that requires NO fixing. I want a gas stove, at least one and a half baths, prefer one story due to disabilities, and covered parking, central heat and air, a big, fenced yard for my dogs, no hills, and no flood zone. I want this all for no more than $50,00. Outbuildings a plus, as well a garden for fruits and vegetable so I don’t have to dig one.
The house is painted paneling in most rooms. and the price has almost doubled since the last sale of the house. and sure if you want to include a pool and a Cadillac that would be nice.
