Family History
This was the home of Edwin Hix Marshall (1905-1987) and his wife Rosie Margaret Thomas Marshall (1906-1995) in the 1940s and ’50s. Charles began his career as a sign painter, but was apparently a true artist as he donated a large oil painting to the First Baptist Church of Wilmington. In fact, in his later years, he became Reverend Edwin Marshall at a Norfolk church.
