OHU50K NOTES

This property, although small, intrigued me. I wondered how easy it might be to clean a rock shower. The geodesic dome is interesting, too. I would not have put it in the front yard, but having fresh veggies is appealing.

Charming cottage with so many updates and unique features! This one bedroom shotgun style home new gas furnace and central air, as well as new ductwork, all installed in 2020. Foyer entry has wood look tile floor, and newer carpet and laminate throughout the rest of home. Dedicated living and dining room spaces, with charming wood stove for extra character. Kitchen was also completely renovated in 2020, with contemporary slab front cabinetry, new countertop, new appliances. Replacement windows throughout, all within the last five years. Roof underwent a complete tear off and replacement in 2020 as well. Front yard has plenty of green space in significant setback from road and Geodome, perfect for garden to table food preparation, or flower cultivation.

    Thanks very much for this.
I really enjoy looking at innovative, quirky housing. My preferences are always appreciative of those who do not routinely rip out all the old existing interiors, only to replace them with bland, “modern” formulaic soulless tripe which has little character. Especially compared with what was there before. Honestly, I am often stunned at the cultural vandalism people believe they are entitled to & excuse themselves of. I entirely fail to understand why anyone would buy a charming property full of built to last functional form, only to desecrate the interior. There are more than enough of those extant “modernised” monstrosities to buy.
Anyhow. Rant over. This little cutie is easy on the eye. Obviously the photographer fancies the Artistic Angle. This house would have sold in minutes had the personal effects been kept to a minimum, IMHO … But then, what do I know?

What a cute little place! I’m not usually a fan of strong paint colors but they work here, imo.

The quirkiness and personal effects are hiding an uninsulated concrete block structure with some single pane windows, and apparently warmth from one large ugly gas space heater. You really can’t put lipstick on a pig, even in Indiana
