OHU50K NOTES

Well, this handyman special is not going to last long. The lovely old home sits on nearly three quarters of an acre on a country road just 30 minutes to Winston-Salem. Small town life (population of East Bend is 625) coupled with an easy commute to jobs is sure to attract buyers.
The wrap-around porch with porch swing is calling my name.

Town History

Located in North Carolina’s foothills, East Bend, first known as Banner’s Store, named for merchant Martin Luther Banner, was named East Bend in 1887 for the bend in the Yadkin River.

The Huff Buggy Factory, built in 1893, was reported to be the largest buggy factory in the South. In 1920, Huff closed the buggy factory to operate a funeral home, which is still owned and operated by family members.
