Family History
The build date for this home is earlier than the realtor’s 1911 build date as the Johnston family were living here as early as 1907. Edgar and Lucetta were married in 1875, had two children, and owned a home in Estherville, Iowa, before retiring to Rocky Ford, Colorado, in 1907. Before retirement, it appears that Edgar was a teamster. Lucetta died in the home in 1909 and Edgar soon after in 1912.
