With that view and access, the cabin could’ve been in shambles and it would still be a desirable property. But I love the geometry of the inside, the way the ceilings slope and a log wall is exposed. Very nice!

Absolutely beautiful, but the price reflects the fact that your on leased land. Sadly, here in Louisiana where I live, a lot of waterfront property is leased land as well. It’s good as long as you establish some trust in the land owner that they want to keep leasing long term. If not, they can tell you to basically leave and take your hosue with you. I saw it happen here with a family that had a camp for 40 years on a lake. The old owner passed away and the new owners told all the camps, that their leases would not be renewed. Many of them could not afford to remove their cabins or homes. They just had to pack up their stuff and go. There ended up being several that sued as they had homes there for over 4 decades, but the judge sided with the new land owners. He said basically they knew they were on a lease, no matter how long they were there.
If interested in this property, I’d make sure to find out more about the land owner. Make sure they want to continue leasing for many years.
