Love it when we find one of these! The 1982 Blue Bird Wanderlodge for sale by owner was $200K plus back in 1982. The motorhome is a retired series of recreational vehicles built by American school bus manufacturer Blue Bird Body Company.

They don’t make them like this anymore! Need to let go of my 1982 Wanderlodge. These motorhomes are crazy overbuilt and their all steel construction will outlive us all. Blue Bird made these back in the 70’s and 80’s and they were considered luxury motorhomes back in the day ($200k plus). It has a Cat 3208 diesel engine that fires right up and has recently been serviced. Runs and drives well. Air brakes and suspension. There is a side bathroom and kitchen with a freshly installed water pump. Propane tank, shore power hookups, generator (will need some work but was starting) Very large fresh/black/gray tanks to be a truly off grid machine. There is a steel grill/cargo carrier mounted to the rear frame with a hitch. Fridge, AC’s all work. One queenish bed in the back and bunk bed construction done by professional carpenter. Cargo carriers on the diamond plated roof. Light surface rust as to be expected. Carpet removed and ready for your choice of flooring. Will need tires relatively soon.
