$75K Thursday – Texas Fixer Upper Time Capsule Under $70K

OHU50K Notes $69,900

Time Capsule Alert! This Texas fixer upper deteriorated after it went out of the hands of the wealthy Wright family who had a historic connection with the founding of the town.  Although the home is in a residential/commercial area, the dwelling is a beauty that deserves restoration.

Realtor Comments

Remarkable old Wright home with curved screened in porch! Just outside historic district but you can own a piece of history that is located within walking distance of downtown churches, medical, grocery stores and other retail. Would make a great Air B&B, restaurant, retail store or a restored historic home with historic plaque on front porch! Lots of remodeling done but still more to do! This 2 home property also includes extra lot to the EAST of the home! Grab this historic home and have plenty of room for extra parking!

History

In the 1930s to at least 1998, this was the Wright family home. Edgar Wright was an attorney whose grandfather, George W. Wright, donated the land for the original townsite for Paris, Texas. Edgar, and his wife Annie, had three sons. Quentin, Edgar and Jerome. After the death of Edgar and Annie, the house was passed down within the family.

I would love to have this house but have it moved to a few acres. Its exactly what I’m looking for to restore.
