OHU50K NOTES
The small town of Drake, ND (pop. 275) is perhaps best known for two literary connections. In Dr. Seuss’s book Horton Hatches the Egg, Horton the Elephant visits the town of Drake while he is in the circus. In addition, in 1973 Drake was the center of a book burning controversy. The school board had ordered that books considered obscene, namely Slaughterhouse Five and Deliverance, assigned to the sophomore English class, be confiscated and burned. The subsequent national controversy resulted in an out of court settlement, including permission for the work to be taught to high school juniors and seniors.

REALTOR COMMENTS
A cozy home in Drake on TWO lots with awesome trees and many updates! Going through the garage and entering the home is a great eat-in kitchen with lots of cupboard space and updated laminate flooring. Also on the main floor is a living room with newer carpet and a window a/c, a bedroom and an updated bathroom. A nice open room for an office or play area is located right off the kitchen and is where you access the upstairs. Walking up the carpeted steps leads you to another bedroom and closet or could be used for storage! Washer, dryer, furnace, and water heater were replaced within the last five years and are located in the nicely kept unfinished basement. The owned propane tank supplies forced air heat with electric back up. Please schedule your visit today!
