OHU50K NOTES

This one is in the middle of nowhere.  I love it though. The house is adjacent to a brick church and a cemetery. I know some readers do not consider proximity to a cemetery as a selling point, but for my family it definitely is. We enjoy using the Find-A-Grave app, making gravestone etchings, and just family history in general. The house is about six mile from Polo, a town of about 2,600 residents. It was named after Marco Polo. I had to show my husband this one. As we scrolled through the photos he commented that he thought the interior would have been more impressive. His tune about the property changed dramatically, however, (as I knew it would) when he saw the location next to the church and graveyard. Now he wants to make an offer. As much as I love it, especially for the price, that’s not happening.
Who else would love living next to a cemetery?
P.S. The camera lens makes everything look wonky.

I’m totally into a cemetery next door! But you’re husband is right; not too impressed with the inside 😐

I simply adore it. It has such a charm. Cemetery doesn’t bother us. Our 1986 home we had over 23yrs ago was settled on top on civil war Cemetery

The downstairs looks like it was gutted in the 1960’s, because of the style of wood trim, doors, and plentiful wall outlets. Upstairs is still intact. There appears to be a moisture issue around the chimney, but otherwise looks like it’s in decent shape. I grew up 17 miles southwest of Polo, IL.
