History

This seven bedroom house was originally the Millbrook Inn which was popular with summer tourists from Bangor. Then it became a boarding house for lumber workers, and finally, served as the town post office in the 1980’s. “All the horsehair plaster has been removed, and a small 2 story addition built on a cement slab was added in the 1990’s. The house was originally built in 1797 from old ships likely at least 100 years old so the framing is like nothing most have ever seen.”

The house was originally built in 1797 from old ships likely at least 100 years old so the framing is like nothing most have ever seen. Clearly this property could easily get historic status.
