Family History
This was the home of Asaph Buck (1844-1927), postmaster and the owner of a grocery store. He lived here with his wife, Sarah Ann Struthers Buck (1847-1921) and the couple’s children, Hubert, Alfred, Myrtle, Sarah Ellen, and Elsie, a as well as a servant. Both Myrtle and Sarah Ellen died at age one. Both Mrs. Buck and Elsie enjoyed hosting events at the home for her church and fraternal organizations. Elsie never married. After the death of her parents, she continued to live in the home with a servant until her death in 1932.
