History

This home is known as the Charles Roy-G.H. Watkins House, but better known as Greenleaves. Charles Roy was a real estate investor. He only lived in the house about five years with his wife and daughter before moving to Birmingham, Alabama.  The house later changed hands to G.H. Watkins (1881-1964), a grocery store owner, who lived in the house with his wife, Margaret, and three children. Guy, William and Margaret. The Watkins owned the home from the 1920s to the 1960s.
