This was the home of Dr. Robert C. Poos (1857-1928). Dr. Poos married his wife, Mary (1862-1952) in 1883. The raised their four children, Beulah, Pearl, Edgar and Robert, in the home.  Dr. Poos was a general practioner in Okawville for 45 years, and both sons became doctors.
