The Nebraska tiny house for sale has two bedrooms, one bath with 638 square feet. It is a cute little place with central air, detached garage and a double lot. How many family members would you feel comfortable living with in a 638 square foot home?

After we sold our 15-acre farmhouse in upstate New York, I told my husband I had to be by the ocean again. So we purchased a $55K house at the Jersey Shore, just a 5-minute walk to the Delaware Bay and a 10-minute drive to the ocean. My husband did not want a mortgage, so after paying back my mom for the money she lent us to buy the hobby farm, our budget only allowed for a tiny house much like our featured one today. Looked very similar, but it was slightly larger at 700 square feet. Problem was, we had four kids at the time and another on the way. When the baby arrived, she had to sleep in the bottom drawer of our dresser located in our master bedroom, an 8×8 room. The other four kids had bunks in the larger 8×10 bedroom. Two girls on the bottom bunk, the two boys on the top. So we had two adults, five kids and a Dalmatian in this joint – with one bathroom, and a washer and dryer outside.

I was a neat freak, so the kids were only allowed to read and and do art work inside the house, no toys. Outside we had a trampoline, a shed with bicycles, big wheels, skateboards, balls and bats, plus the bay was down the street. The kids all turned out to be avid readers, great athletes, were ocean lifeguards, and won academic and athletic scholarships, so I guess not having toys was not a big deal for them. Then again, I was so happy when the arrival of a seventh baby came along, forcing my husband to accept the fact we needed a much larger house, and that would require a mortgage. My 1915 foursquare. Still a 10-minute drive to the ocean, but a 15-minute bike ride to the bay.
