Family History

This home was built way before the realtor’s 1920 build date as Charles E. Morey was listed as living in it in the 1900 US Census. He was a wealthy manager of a department store. He lived in the home with his wife Catherine, and daughter Catherine, as well as a servant woman. Sadly, his wife died in 1902, and Charles remained a widower until the day he died in 1950. Towards the end of his life in the 1940s, 114 School Street was a full house with Charles, his daughter, her husband, their children, and Charles’ grandchildren. were living in the home.
