Family History
This was the home of Mark E. Foster from the 1920s to the 1950s. The Fosters were natives of Vermont, and Mark was a clerk for the steam railroad. He lived here with his wife Falba, and children Arthur, a hotel clerk, Robertus, Mark and Cynthia. Cynthia was born with health issues, but made a miraculous recovery under the care of a Dr. E.H. Cowan. According to the 1930 US Census, the house was worth $3,500 that year.

OHU50K NOTES
This cute Victorian cottage offers a wrap-around porch, lovely molding and doors, and a clawfoot tub. It will take some cash and sweat equity to bring back its original character, but it definitely deserves to be saved. I am wondering if it originally was the home of a staff member of the now abandoned Texas & Pacific Railroad Hospital which is directly across the street.
