It’s clean. It’s crisp. It’s move-in ready. A total reno has been completed on this c.1909 bungalow in Dayton, Ohio. They did a nice job. It’s a renovation, though, not a restoration. I would have preferred refinishing the original hardwood floors. And I would never have taken the wall down between the dining room and kitchen. Bungalows were built with dedicated dining rooms, not open floor plans.

Some will disagree, but I am not one for open floor plans. My daughter had a beautiful home in Las Vegas, but with kids, the open floor plan was very noisy. Our c.1915 American foursquare had a great floor plan. It was bright and open enough, but with dedicated rooms that could be shut off to conserve heat in cold winters.

This move-in ready bungalow is lovely, though, and despite the rather high-crime neighborhood, could make a great move-in ready home or rental investment.
