Family History

This was the home of Irish immigrant, John Welch (b.1842). Mr. Welch was a coal miner who was widowed by the time he lived in this house per the 1910 US Census. He resided in the home with his spinster daughter Margaret )aka Maggie) who loved to entertain in the home. The family supplemented their income by renting rooms to three male boarders.
