History
Park Elementary School was built in 1922 and closed in 2006. More recently, it has been used as an offsite storage facility for the school district, but the building has water damage from years of not being used. Utilities have been shut off and very little maintenance has been done on the shuttered facility. The town is hoping that the building will be purchased and and revitalized, adding to the vibrancy of the community. Superintendent Art Ebert said that the building will “require some upgrades, including roofing, lighting, ventilation and flooring.”

Buyer beware. Sturgis will bleed you dry of your finances while you wait on their glacrial process to get plans approved. Note that this lovely property has been sold and re sold several times, likely due to the draconian City/Town approval process. Good luck and have an attorny ready when the City elders start their copiuos BS.
