This was the home of Wilbur J. Mowry (1875-1970) and Ida May McGill Mowry (1860-1942). The couple tied the knot in 1899, but as Ida was quite a bit older than her husband, it doesn’t appear they had children together. They purchased this home soon after it was built when Wilbur was a barber and Ida took on sewing and hand-painted holiday items to earn extra money. After the Mowrys sold this home, they relocated to Fresno, California.
