Family History

Samuel Brown (1834-1911) married Jane E. (1846-1933) in 1861. The couple had one daughter, Mary, who was born in 1866. Samuel was a successful farmer who had this in-town home built for his family in 1886.  Mary married a Mr. Travers, but was already a widow by 1900 and so continued to live in the home with her parents. After Samuel died in 1911, Jane E. and Mary relocated to San Diego, California.

This home has the ‘almost looks too good to be true’ vibe. Great architectural details with just few visible minor? cosmetic things to fix, at an incredible price. Quincy has lots of great older homes. My grandparents lived there and we used to just drive around town and check out the old neighborhoods when visiting.

The price reflects the market comps in the area. It’s the Real Deal, though. I toured it, today. Even more stunning in person, than the pics showed. (Currently, off-market due to a personal emergency)
