This is the first of our new Cheap-ish crib category. OHU50K will always mainly focus on old houses in the $50Ks, but both rising real estate prices and real estate agents who put no effort in taking photos of the interiors of cheap houses have made it harder to find decent homes under our price constraints. Cheap-ish will feature a couple of affordable homes each day that are over the $100K mark. If you are not interested in Cheap-ish, simply skip over the posts.

The oak woodwork in this circa 1910 foursquare is stunning. My own foursquare pales in comparison. I have the same oak Hoosier, but I am so envious of the dining room buffet with leaded glass. It appears that this home originally had an entrance foyer, but they opened it up. It likely had pocket doors to the living room. My foursquare still has the dedicated foyer, but opposite positions to this home, the colonnades went into the living room, and the pocket doors (which the previous owner cut in half) went into the dining room.

Take a look at this 4 bedroom, 2 bath home in Graettinger! It has the original woodwork throughout the home, including oak floors under the current floor coverings. So much natural light is throughout the home. Each of the 4 bedrooms has 2 windows. The enclosed front porch is a great way to spend the evening. Another option is to relax in the backyard under the gazebo, that is attached to the back deck overlooking a large backyard. The garage has plenty of storage space. Graettinger is a great community – just a couple perks are low taxes and utilities. The total utility bill each month is less than $150. Great solid home!
