History

After the school closed, it was used as a seasonal residence until it was purchased and restored by the director of the Winona County Historical Society.  Mark Peterson and his wife, Katie, stripped the old-fashioned gray with black speckles siding off (popular in the early 1900s) and painted the building the mellow yellow.
