c.1880 Victorian Home For Sale in Ohio Under $40K

OHU50K Notes.  $75,000 Reduced to $39,900

We first featured this home in February of this year when the stunning circa 1880 Victorian was a for sale by owner going for $75,000. It is currently on the market for $39,900. In addition to lovely interior elements, exquisite exterior details compete with other wonderful homes on the street. In fact, I recognized the brick house on the bend as one OHU50K featured back in July 2021 that sold for $35,000.

Wow! What happened between the owner leaving and Now?
Yet another fixer-upper where the fixer-up fixer failed to understand what a ‘drop cloth’ is… “No! You don’t take a cloth and drop it from the roof. If they do understand, they don’t know how to use it or just don’t give a damn.

Nice house. A piece of history so many U.S. citizens fail to appreciate. Priceless Claw foot bathtub. What a treasure. I see they also blocked off the fireplace. “Say it ain’t so…” One of THE most romantic, inanimate objects know around the world. So sad.

Somebody is preparing to paint walls throughout the house. They’re doubling their work effort by using 3M blue masking tape. It works well to keep the paint from reaching those covered areas but when you try to remove the tape; especially on a painted surface; it pulls up pieces of what you’re trying to protect. So now you have to mask the paint job you just completed and repaint the area you were trying to protect… and it flips back and forth until you realize, Frog Tape is the best masking tape choice.

This is not a commercial plug just some advise from first hand experience. 😉

    Cheers.

BTW, Google opens up a ‘street level’ view of the neighbors house… the blood red house. At the angle they present it you cannot see this house behind it. You have to go searching.

    Me, again.
Sorry. Forgot to mention some drawbacks to owning this home.

NO PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION within thirty miles. This is an issue I investigate with every home I view.

    I guess Europe spoiled me.

    Enjoy the holidays.
