Circa 1902 Montana Fixer Upper $55K
April 3, 2023
OHU50K Notes $55,000
For Montana, $55K doesn’t seem like a bad price for this fixer upper. This cheap old house was built in 1902 and offers three bedrooms, one bath, on a quarter acre, as well as hardwood floors, French doors and a two-car garage, something that is definitely needed in a cold weather state.
Agent Comments
This fixer-upper home sits on a 10, 150 sq lot and consists of a 3092 sq’ house with a double stall detached garage. The home’s main floor has a large living room, kitchen, dining room, 2 bedrooms, parlor, and a bathroom. The home’s upper level is a large 168 sq’ bedroom and access to the attic for additional storage. The basement has been gutted out from the prior tenant’s neglect and basically houses the utilities and storage. The roof was replaced in the past 10 years and has recently had a boiler and water installed with a new water line to the main in the past few years. The home is being sold as is.

I plan to go take a look at this house this coming Thursday, 4/13/2023! So far the realtor has not gotten back to me, but I am interested. The back door of this house is about 2 lots from the Yellowstone River. I think NOT in the flood plain! There is a water treatment plant between this house and the river, which provides DRINKING water to the City of Glendive. I must say this house certainly needs a jolt of curb appeal injected into it.

I was sposed to be in Momtana looking at this house day before yesterday, and was NIL to buy. Realtor texted me that it sold YESTERDAY 4/14/2023. House definitely has issues, but a very walkable town in a beautiful location…so I’m of course disappointed that I *missed* it.
