Agent Comments
Investor Alert! Great Duplex on the North Hill with all separate utilities. This actually was a triplex at one time, but since 3rd floor lost its zoning for a triplex, seller never renovated it and only uses as a duplex. Each unit has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, living & dining rooms.
- 7,057sqft lot

Family History
Apparently, the home was built before the realtor’s date of 1920 as it is listed as a residence in the 1900 US Census. The Edward Lyndall Smith (1860-1949) owned the home for more than three decades. Edward was a railroad clerk and a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. He married Anna MacFayden (1864-1950) in 1885 , and the couple raised their four daughters in this home, Bessie, Amy, Elizabeth and Edna. The family also had a lodger and a servant living in the home at times.
Sadly, after Bessie was only married for a year and had a nine-week old baby, she died of tuberculosis at the age of 19.
