Dear God. This is so much worse than it looked like it would be, from the outside. Someone got happy with the thick wall to wall carpeting, and the tacky, cheap, paneling, didn’t they? Smh. The wasted expense, and the work, that went into covering over everything that made this house awesome, just boggles the mind. And now, there’s the additional work, and the expense, of the total gut job it’s going to take to put it all back the way it was to begin with, that is equally mind boggling. Why, dear Lord? Oh, why? When will people with great houses ever learn to leave them alone? Speaking of, if I see one more ” updated”, or ” renovated” older house, with fake, wood, laminate, floors. The walls painted tan, or pale grey, with white trim. And stainless steel appliances, that speckled, fake granite laminate on the counter tops, and an island, in the kitchen, I just may stroke out, right there. Stop it, ya’ll. Leave those poor, old, houses alone, if that’s the best you can do.
