Family History
Louis and Mabel Doellinger rented out this house when it was first built in 1927, but they later purchased the home. Louis was a lineman for the WesternElectric company before retiring. Louis was almost 20 years older than his wife, and they had no children. Despite the age difference, Louis lived 11 years longer than Mabel. He lived in the home until 1971 and passed away in a nursing home in 1972 at the age of 92.
