The Roslyn Clock Tower, aka the Ellen E. Ward’s children and dedicated to her memory.

Mrs. Ward was born and lived in Roslyn her entire life and was deeply dedicated to the community.  The clock tower was designed by the architectural firm Lamb & Rich in a Romanesque Revival style, a popular architectural style in the late 19th century. Hugo Lamb was also the architect of Teddy Roosevelt’s home “Sagamore Hill” on Long Island.
