Happy to see that it said they were only accepting owner occupant offers at this time! Houses are for people to live in and make a home, not all these investors and flippers who have caused this horrible real estate market with prices out of reach to people who want to live in the home. Wish more sellers would act with this integrity and only accept offers from people who want to live in and love your homes….

True, but I also blame the greedy realtors for the horrible real estate market.

This is unfortunate and widespread .I’m seeing it all over the country. Some listings state the seller has never even stepped foot into the property. Some properties are pending almost within 24 hours or less ! Money hungry realtors are in cahoots with flipper AND contractors. All for the purpose of a quick profit…smh.

I couldn’t agree with you more. It used to be first come, first served. The seller would negotiate with you, and you’d have a deal. Now the realtors run these homes much like an auction with bids taken until a certain date, and the “highest and best” wins. It’s disgusting.

Hi,
First,
I am a lover of old homes. I can’t tell you how glad I am to have found this website. I have been so disgusted and heartbroken so many times when we would find an older home that we would’ve loved but didn’t find it in time and a “flipper” bought it for a low price and turned it into something that looked like every other flipped home on the market, raising the price astronomically. My husband and I have 5 children and have been looking for an older, less expensive home for the past 2 years, almost at the end of our ropes. I love the character, warmth and history of older homes and I have been shocked to find out what is going on with these “flippers” – should be outlawed!
