These beautiful houses rot until they collapse because the land bank makes such rediculous demands of the buyer.

  • Susan Herndon

The right perrson, with the right finances could double their money with this renovation. It’s so sad to see these oncce great houses just rot in place. I hope someone will buy it and return it to its former glory. I wish I could (-:

No one is doubling their money on that thing. At the end of the day you can pour all the money you want and will end up with a nice house in a s**thole neighborhood of an overall s**thole city (I grew up in Elmwood btw). The real fixer upper is the city. Until that is addressed, these properties should be torn down and at least the good woodwork and other fixtures can be salvaged and restored and placed in properties with an actual future.

Absolute ***hole of a commenter. Incremental fixes and the care of people willing to do the work will improve the city. I hope an arse like yourself left, the good people of Syracuse don’t need an association like you. One less of attitudes like yours will make this city ever so much better. We love our little city in the center state.
