Family History
Wise
This house was built for Henry Erle “Pete” Wise Sr (1886-1933). Pete was involved in his father’s banking business before his family purchased the Henryetta Coal Company and Pete became manager. Pete lived in the home with his wife, Chloe Tollerton Wise, whom he married in 1920, and their Henry “Jack”, and George. Sadly, Pete died at age 46 after colliding with a man on a sidewalk and fracturing his hip. This led to complications causing his death. Chloe sold the house, and a couple of years later married a Clarence Root, owner of a garage, and moved to Missouri.

Boswell
Mrs. Wise sold the house to Dr. H.D. Boswell and his wife. The couple often hosted events in the house for the Rotarians and the PEO Sisterhood.

Looks like some structural damage to right (facing home.) Roof leaks as seen in pics. One column rotted at base and front porch also. Otherwise…. could be nice
