Save This (Cheapish) Old House – Circa 1924 Virginia Mansion For Sale Under $200K- Contingent
OHU50K N0tes $199,900 – Contingent
Okay, I know it’s way over what I usually post for the Cheapish series, but I just could not believe what I was seeing with my own eyes. A Virginia mansion for sale on 3.25 acres on a premier street for $199,900!? Unheard of these days….until we see the interior. Still wonderful, but it’s worthy of a Shelley Long and Tom Hanks remake. The bathrooms alone could tempt me, though!

Huge house with still alot of work to do, probably 50k worth of renovation still to go. The finished product could be very fine & amazing.

The brick work on the exterior looks rough–does anyone know what’s going on there? I’m thinking more 100k – 150k. I’d be interested in anyone’s opinion on here of what’s going on with this house. A lot of you have real knowledge of old houses and renovations/restorations. I’d feel better hearing some impartial opinions before calling a realtor.
