This New York fixer upper Italianate hasn’t been an easy sell. Back in 1870 it was built as a gorgeous single-family dwelling. Decades passed, and the home was divided up into three apartments. Then in 2014 a fire not only destroyed the interior, but two fireman were hospitalized. The owner was approved for several building permits over the years, but it looks like only demo and a bathroom were completed.

Today, the home needs a savior, but the stipulations are pretty strict. Permits must be acquired within 30 days of closing, and all renovations completed within a year. It took us 16 years for my husband to do all the work on our home, so this would not be a project for a one-man DIYer.

I am sure the neighbors, and the city in general, would love to see this home brought back to life after 10 years of dormancy. That staircase!
