Save This Old c.1890 New York Mansion For Sale $15K
$15,000
Here is a c.1890 New York mansion for sale in need of a complete restoration. We first featured this home back in the beginning of November 2019. It sold back then for $20,000, but it is back on the market for $15,000. The six-bedroom, four-bath home was subsequently demoed, but I included the 2015 listing at the bottom half of the page to show what it looked like before the demo.ย I am always saddened when such beauties go to wrack and ruin, but when I saw the condition of the hexagonal tile, it almost made me weep.
I especially love the arched windows in the bathroom, but you have to check out the house next door on Google Maps. Now if that were only for sale…..The owner of that house restored it back in 2000, putting $180,000 into it. He wanted to purchase and demolish our featured house, but city and state officials thwarted that plan in 2001.
